• On Tuesday, June 13, team members and students of Joseph Battin School No. 4, in partnership with Thomas Jefferson Arts Academy, had an amazing time starting their new garden, “Bart’s Blooms”. School No. 4 and Jefferson Arts Academy express their gratitude to the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders for the Union County Kids Dig In grant. Union County Freeholders Vice Chairman Sergio Granados, Groundwork Elizabeth, Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron, Elizabeth Board of Education Vice President Maria Z.Carvalho, Elizabeth Board of Education member Dr. Diane Barbosa, PhD, and Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning Dr. Jennifer Cedeño attended the unveiling and planting of the new garden.
