Instructional Technology
-
Elizabeth Public Schools is a "Future Ready School District " Having received a score of 9 on scale of 10.
Our vision for Digital Learning is that our students will attain the necessary 21st Century skills to succeed in today’s global technologically based society.
To achieve this recognition the Elizabeth Public Schools is on the fore front of instructional technology. Providing our student's mobile devices and digital learning tools to sustain a stimulating and challenging academic environment, that is student centered and inquiry based, supported by a robust technological infrastructure. The Elizabeth Public Schools is committed to a continuous evolution of instructional technology. As we have introduced the SAMR-Substitution Augmentation Modification Redefinition model offering a methodology of computer technology to improve teaching and learning at all levels.
SAMR demonstrates a progression in instructional outcomes with a direct correlation to implementing educational technology, this often follows as teachers adopt teaching and learning with technology. The important concept to grasp is the level of student engagement. As the Elizabeth Public Schools focuses on continuing "Future Readiness" Computer technology becomes more important in the classroom but at the same time becomes more invisibly woven into the demands of good teaching and learning.
To continue our commitment to transform teaching and learning in a rigorous digital environment “The Elizabeth Pubic Schools
Instructional Technology Team” offers ongoing support to our teaching and professional staff at all levels. The Instructional
Technology Coaches provide enduring training to students, teachers administrators and central administration.
