Students Who Shall Be Transported

  • Pursuant to New Jersey Administrative Code 6A:27-1.2: “…Transportation shall be provided to public school students who reside remote from their assigned school of attendance … and special education students who reside remote from their assigned school or who require transportation services in accordance with their Individualized Education Program (IEP)

    Mileage requirement for transportation: 

    Pre-k- 2.00 miles Walking distance from home to school

    K-8- 2.00 miles Walking distance from home to school

    High school- 2.50 miles Walking distance from home to school

    **Mileage is calculated by home to school walking distance in a program used by the district called (Traversa from Tyler Technologies) that uses a county map.** 

    Bus stops are created by students in a generalized area.

    Bus stops will not be changed as a matter of convenience.

    Special arrangements to pick up your child will not be accommodated. We can not deviate from established bus schedules. Each time a stop is altered or added, it increases the route time.
