  • President's Tour John Marshall School No. 20

    John Marshall School No. 20 is an exciting place where students and team members learn and grown. During Ms. Pestana and Ms. Hernandez's visit they were able to join in the learning in Ms. Avella's kindergarten class. Students were reading their sight words and independent books to our Board Commissioners.

  • L.O.T and Minutemen Basketball Hold Pep Rally

    Elizabeth’s L.O.T. Program and the EHS boys basketball team joined forces this past Tuesday for a Pep Rally to honor the team’s outstanding 2018-2019 record breaking season. This epic evening featured performances, a 3-point shoot out, slam dunk contest, and the college commitment ceremony for EHS basketball standout Jesiah West.

  • Board President Stephanie Pestana Visits School No. 19

    During Elizabeth Board of Education President Stephanie Goncalves Pestana’s visit to Woodrow Wilson School No. 19 as part of her “You’re One of A Kind” tour, she was welcomed by the school’s mascot, the Woodrow Wilson Warrior, Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) President Clemencia Mateus, School No. 19 Principal Caroline Cespedes, and School No. 19 Vice Principal Doris Farrell.

  • Portuguese Officials Visit Hamilton Academy

    Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy had the honor of welcoming the Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities, Dr. José Luís Carneiro, along with Dr. Ângela Noiva Gonçalves, Deputy Director General of Higher Education, Dr. Luísa Pais Lowe, Adjunta SECP and GAID Coordinator, Dr. Pedro Monteiro, Consul-General of Portugal in Newark and Dr. José Carlos Adão, Deputy Coordinator of Portuguese Teaching in the United States of America.
