Elizabeth Public Schools celebrated the J. Christian Bollwage Finance Academy graduating Class of 2024 commencement and class awards ceremony at the Thomas G. Dunn Sports Center on June 24. Among the speakers at the ceremony were Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage, Elizabeth Board of Education President Charlene Bathelus, Board Vice President Stanley Neron, EPS Superintendent Dr. Olga Hugelmeyer, EPS Assistant Superintendent Judy Finch Johnson, Bollwage Finance Academy Principal John J. Byrne, Bollwage Finance Academy autism teacher and 2023-2024 Governor’s Award Teacher of the Year Todd Lecher, class valedictorian Freddemi Romero, and class salutatorian Franco Arias.
