Abraham Lincoln School No. 14 Celebrates Read Across America Week

Abraham Lincoln School No. 14 had an amazing Read Across America week, which included special guests from the Union County Board of County Commissioners, Chairwoman Lourdes M. Leon and Commissioner Sergio Granados on March 5. The county commissioners were able visit several classrooms and meet members of the school community. Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley J. Neron also stopped in to greet the county commissioners and interact with the students and team members, including a student who wrote to him to request his visit for the second year in a row for Read Across America. Additionally, the student remembered his famous cultural "soup" that he shared with the entire grade level. President Neron’s warm smile and contagious energy as well as the visits of Chairwoman Leon and Commissioner Granados made for an exciting day for the Lincoln school family!
