George Washington Academy Celebrates Black History
Throughout the month of February, George Washington Academy proudly honored Black History Month with engaging lessons, performances and activities that highlighted the rich contributions of African American leaders, innovators and changemakers. Our celebration culminated in a school-wide Living Museum and show, where students transformed into historical and contemporary African American figures, bringing their stories to life through research, costumes, and presentations. Families and staff toured the interactive exhibits, gaining insight into the remarkable impact of these individuals. This event was a powerful display of learning, creativity and appreciation for Black history and culture.
