School No. 52 Winter and MLK Festival

The children of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Early Childhood Center – School No. 52 had the opportunity to honor and celebrate the rich legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., reflecting on the achievements, values, and traditions that have shaped our nation.

The children participated in a Winter Festival - Commemorating the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Academic Areas: Writing: "I have a Dream", Music & Movement: Musical Chairs to "Stand Up for Martin Luther King", by Dr. Jean, Science: Making Snow & Fishing 'for a dream", Art: decorating snowflakes and snowmen, Technology: video clips of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Reading: corner with stories about Dr. MLK, Jr.

Throughout these activities and celebrations, children and staff honored MLK’s pursuit of justice.
