Elizabeth Public Schools celebrated the Elizabeth High School - Frank J. Cicarell Academy graduating Class of 2024 commencement and class awards ceremony at the Thomas G. Dunn Sports Center on June 25. Among the speakers at the ceremony were Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano, Elizabeth Board of Education President Charlene Bathelus, Board Vice President Stanley Neron, EPS Superintendent Dr. Olga Hugelmeyer, EPS Assistant Superintendent Rafael Cortes, EHS-FJC Principal Michael Cummings, EHS-FJC Economics Teacher and 2023-2024 Governor's Award Teacher of the Year Gerard Boruch, class valedictorian Gabriela Lopez Ramirez, and class salutatorian Sophie C. Lin.
