On Friday, March 15, 2024, Board of Education President Charlene Bathelus Dorgely visited Abraham Lincoln School No. 14 to read to two of the 4th grade classes. In addition, she got to meet and thank Mia Da Costa, Grade 5 student who wrote a letter to her during the Read Across America festivities. Lastly, she culminated her visit by stopping by the middle school College Fair that was taking place as one of School 14's AVID initiatives. All presentations and products were student created. Students engaged in this activity and were led by their amazing teachers and school counselor's Ms. Jessica Ortega and Ms. Daniela Damiani.
