On February 22, 2024, we at JDA proudly celebrated our very own BLACK HISTORY MONTH EXTRAVAGANZA.  The EXTRAVAGANZA focused on celebrating the rich heritage, cultural diversity, African diaspora while honoring the legacy of many important African Americans who have paved the way for us to be a part of a more inclusive and equal society.  All acts featured were designed to educate, entertain, and inspire.  Each performance is crafted to bring stories and vibrant culture through music, dance, storytelling, reenactments and featured our very own JDA Scholars.  Along with many performances, students were able to walk through an expo featuring many successful black vendors including meeting and interacting with Black Olympic Champion Gail Marquis.  Overall, it was a successful presentation and students were able to immerse in rich Black culture.  Special thanks to JDA’s Black History Month committee who put together an amazing show.
