EBOE President Chevres and Superintendent Olga Hugelmeyer visited schools on October 23
Elizabeth Board of Education President Iliana Chevres and Elizabeth Public Schools Superintendent Olga Hugelmeyer visited several district schools on October 23 to witness the activities and high-quality instruction taking place. Chevres and Hugelmeyer met with principals and vice principals who took them around their respective school buildings to interact with students, teachers, administrators, and support staff. Their stops included Joseph Battin School No. 4, Madison – Monroe School No. 16, School No. 16 Annex, Robert Morris School No. 18, and Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy Annex. They were joined by Assistant Superintendent Rafael Cortes, who accompanied them during their visits to School No. 18 and Hamilton Annex. During their visit to Hamilton Annex, they had the opportunity to congratulate Elizabeth Varsity Boys Soccer Coach Jacques Gonzales who helped guide his team to its first outright Union County Tournament championship since 2008.
