On Wednesday May 31, 2023, Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy’s 9^th grade Annex hosted an AVID Showcase. Organized by Hamilton's AVID Site Coordinator, Katelyn Banks and AVID teachers Dave Ayd and Emily Buffa, this event showcased our history with AVID which included:  the implementation process, culture and environment, two graduates' experiences in AVID, data, early struggles and finally a college fair.  Visitors, including educators from throughout New Jersey as well as district leadership, engaged in conversations with students and teachers and visited classrooms. In those classrooms, guests were able to observe a content area course where one of the AVID strategies was put to use.
