On Thursday, May 18th, 2023 John E. Dwyer Technology Academy was granted revalidated as an AVID National Demonstration School. This is the highest achievement from AVID and Dwyer will retain this status through the 2026-2027 school year.  During the revalidation celebration, AVID Students and the AVID site team were awarded their new banner and the honor of being named the only National Demonstration HIGH School in Elizabeth, Union County and North Jersey. Mayor Bollwage, Commissioner Grandos, Superintendent Hugelmeyer joined in congratulating Dwyer and the AVID family, which was also awarded a Union County Resolution acknowledging this great achievement. Congratulations to John E. Dwyer Technology Academy for retaining validation as an AVID National Demonstration School since 2019.
