On April 4, 2023, Thomas A. Edison Career & Technical Academy welcomed Board of Education President, Iliana Chevres for a school visit. Ms. Chevres toured the school, and conversations focused greatly on the future of TECTA’s Career and Technical Education workshops. Students from each of the shops educated Ms. Chevres on their daily operations. While she spent time learning from the students, she also had spirited discussions with faculty regarding how to grow their programs and develop deeper partnerships with the community. TECTA looks forward to working in harmony with the Board of Education to develop career-ready students, that receive work-based learning opportunities and industry certifications.
