On March 28, 2023, Board Commissioners' Charlene Bathelus Dorgely and Maria Carvalho, visited John Marshall School No. 20 to honor and award the following 8th grade student winners of the "Girls in Pearls" video contest winners: Ashley Martinez, Samantha Barona, Alisha Cruz Burgos, Kai’lyn Slaughter, Isabella Escorcia, Precella Sabajo, Witcherline Francois.
