Board President, Iliana Chevres and Vice President, Charlene Bathelus-Dorgely visited Elmora School No. 12 on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

Board of Education President and Vice President enjoyed speaking to student about college and their future careers. As they visited many classrooms, they observed students taking SGOS and working on research projects. Students explained to President Chevres and Vice President Bathelus-Dorgely the concept of answering opened ended questions with RACE; restating, answering, citing, and explaining, and how they apply RACE to everyday writing.

Many students were excited to show off their Cornell Notes and binders. Both President Chevres and Vice President Bathelus were impressed with the rigor and student engagement in classes.
