Christian Bollwage Finance Academy

Christian Bollwage Finance Academy is a NAF Be Future Ready Model college and career preparation program that integrates the theme   of business and finance into an academically rich Honors and Advanced

Placement (AP) instructional course sequence. This unique course of study   will allow students to participate in work-based learning experiences in and out of the classroom including exposure to corporations through on-site visits, corporate tours, and presentations. Students will participate in job shadowing, team and work management, project collaboration and management, analysis of industry trends, and mentoring as well as learning from industry professionals.

Bollwage Finance Academy students who meet the enrollment criteria of a minimum GPA of 2.0 and who demonstrate an eagerness to align their personal, academic, and professional goals to their high school academic program will take eight semester NAF business and finance-themed classes, such as Entrepreneurship, Business in     a Global Economy, and Principles of Finance. Students can take classes in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management as well as a rich assortment of electives attractive to colleges and universities. Furthermore, students will have unique opportunities to explore post-secondary education as early as freshman year.

A graduate from Bollwage Finance Academy will be a well-rounded, eager young adult who is attractive to competitive four-year universities and has not only maintained   a high GPA but also has participated in extra-curricular activities. In addition, this graduate will have:

• A NAF certified diploma distinguishing their accomplishments beyond district and state graduation requirements
• College credit for certain NAF business and finance classes taken at Bollwage Finance Academy
• Developed career, communication, and time management skills as well as other soft skills
• Internship experience
• Unique exposure to and networking with industries and professionals
• Foundational knowledge that makes him or her a strong candidate for business and finance related employment
