President's Tour Week 5

    Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron visited Nicholas S. LaCorte - Peterstown School No. 3, Elmora School No. 12, William F. Halloran School No. 22 @ Monsignor João S. Antão School No. 31, Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy, and Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Academy during Week 5 of “We Believe – The President’s Tour”. Mr. Neron enjoyed meeting with students and team members at each respective school; sharing his message of believing in yourself, achieving greatness, and doing the unthinkable; and observing the high quality educational activities taking place.

    President's Tour Visits School No.3

    Students and team members at Nicholas S. LaCorte – Peterstown School No. 3 had the honor and pleasure of meeting Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron who visited School No. 3 as part of his district tour.  Mr.  Neron began his visit with an inspirational talk to the Class of 2017.  He encouraged them all to strive to be the best, set future goals, and to never give up no matter what obstacles come their way.   As he continued touring the building, Mr. Neron visited many classrooms where he also shared his story with students and the importance of believing in yourself.  The message resonated with students as they chanted, “We believe,” before Mr. Neron left each classroom.

    President's Tour Visits Elmora School No.12

    Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron enjoyed his afternoon visit at Elmora School No. 12 as part of his President’s Tour.  Students explained School No. 12’s theme “How Full is your Bucket” to Mr. Neron, who saw buckets filled with positive notes from students and staff hanging from classroom doors and representing the theme and as he walked down the hallways.  Mr. Neron was impressed with School No. 12’s AVID Program and congratulated the team members and students for being recognized as an AVID Showcase School.  He was excited to learn about School No. 12’s Journalism Club, After School Tutoring Program, and Academic Recovery Program. He greeted many students in the hallways, spoke to many students and teachers in their classrooms, reminding students to never give up and to surround themselves with positive role models.  Mr. Neron made a special trip to the cafeteria to visit the kitchen staff and thanked them for their daily commitment to the students of Elizabeth.

    President's Tour Visits School No.22

    Elizabeth Board of Education President Mr. Stanley Neron visited William F. Halloran School No. 22 during Halloran Huskies’ annual “Excellence” Week to celebrate school spirt, school pride and accomplishments throughout the year. Mr. Neron made special visits to several classrooms and had a very important message about the importance of education, perseverance and being good citizens. He spoke to students in the hallways and guessed what they were for the school’s dress like an “Idiom Day”. He ended his visit singing with the National Junior Honor Society inductees and encouraged them to continue to work hard and be the best they can be in all that they do.

    President's Tour Visits Hamilton Main Complex

    Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy was fortunate to proudly host Elizabeth Board President Stanley Neron on a recent visit.  Mr. Neron received a tour of Hamilton Preparatory Academy and met with both students and staff, presenting a brief biography on his background and life experiences. Mr. Neron provided a heartfelt message on the belief of oneself, endless possibilities,  service to others and the community, a never give up attitude, and the belief in the core characteristics and values of succeeding in life. He was impressed with Hamilton’s many achievements as well as with the students and team members. Overall, Mr. Neron’s message inspired the students and staff, encouraging all to work hard to achieve their lifelong goals.

    President's Tour Edison Academy

    Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron visited career and technical education classes at Thomas A. Edison Career and Technical Academy and was a speaker at the school’s ninth grade symposium. During the symposium, Mr. Neron provided words of strength and inspiration by sharing his personal and educational experiences with students. He challenged the students to think critically about the decisions they make and to believe they can be successful and impact the society by making positive choices and developing strong relationships with peers, family and teachers.
