  • Board Meeting June 13, 2019

    At the June 13 Elizabeth Board of Education meeting at Donald Stewart Early Childhood Center School No. 51, the meeting opened with a video highlighting the latest stops of Board President Stephanie Goncalves’ You’re One of a Kind Tour as she goes to visit each school in the district to meet students and team members and see the educational activities taking place.

  • Board of Education Meeting June 4, 2019

    At the special Elizabeth Board of Education meeting held on June 3, 2019 at Dr. Albert Einstein School No. 29, the Board honored the 2018-2019 Governor’s Award recipients, including the teacher of the year and the educational service provider of the year from each district school. Seventy-two teachers and educational service providers were recognized for their excellent contributions to their respective school communities.

  • Dwyer Technology Academy was certified as the First National AVID Demonstration High School in Elizabeth

    On May 23, John E. Dwyer Technology Academy was certified as the First National AVID Demonstration High School in Elizabeth. This is the highest level of distinction from AVID that any school can receive. To become the first and only AVID National Demonstration High School in Elizabeth is an enormous honor for the AVID site team, all students, teachers and staff at John E. Dwyer Technology Academy.

  • 3 EPS Schools Named 2019 National School of Character - 5-10-19

    Nicholas S. LaCorte – Peterstown School No. 3, Dr. Albert Einstein Academy School No. 29, and Frances C. Smith Early Childhood Center School No. 50 were among 92 schools to be recognized as a 2019 National School of Character by Character.org. Each year, Character.org and its state affiliates select schools and districts that demonstrate a dedicated focus on character development, which has a true positive impact on academic achievement, student behavior, and school climate.
