Mrs. Kristine Downey, Visual Art Teacher of Elmora School No. 12, had her fourth grade Visual Art students participate in The Constitutional Officer’s Association of New Jersey “My County” poster contest.  The goal of this contest is to promote awareness of work accomplished throughout New Jersey’s 21 Counties.  Students designed posters of what makes Union County unique to them.

Aaron Vivanco, who is a fourth grade student of Mrs. Marsha Henkel, was one of twelve students who had their artwork selected to appear on a published 2019 calendar.  There was a reception honoring all the winners on April 19, 2018 at the Union County Courthouse where Aaron received a certificate as well as a prize.  Following the reception there was a photo session with the County Clerk, Sheriff and Surrogate.
