  • Battle of the Bands

    This year School 21 celebrated their 3rd annual Battle of the Bands. Students in grade 4-8 rehearsed during the after school program, learning rock band instruments many of them had never touched before. They came up with a 'look' for their band, advertised to the school and all their hard work culminated in a fantastic show. A panel of judges scored the students performances and Musical Mayhem took first place!

  • Halsey MCJROTC Student Tops Nation in Youth Fitness Competition

    Admiral William F. Halsey, Jr. Health and Public Safety Academy senior Jose Morrobel placed first overall and was named the individual champion for the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) during the National Youth Physical Fitness Challenge at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on May 20.

    The Historical Society of Elizabeth conducted a forum on May 24th in the Elizabeth Public Library. The topic of the forum was Elizabeth in both 1917 and 2017 with the goal of comparing what life was like during these two periods of time.

  • The 14th annual Tour De Elizabeth

    The 14th annual Tour De Elizabeth took place on Sunday, May 21, 2017 with the theme of “Sounds of Our City”. Several hundred cyclists participated in the 15-mile ride which included two seven-and-a-half mile loops that started and ended at City Hall.
