  • Senator Lesniak Speaks to AP Students @ Hamilton Academy

    On Thursday March 9, 2017, Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy welcomed New Jersey’s very own Senator Raymond J. Lesniak as a guest speaker. Our AP United States Government and Politics students along with the AP Untied States History students were honored to hear from one of New Jersey Senators. Senator Lesniak impressed the students with his humor and especially humble demeanor. Our students were very excited to meet the Senator and learn firsthand information on the duties and responsibilities of his position. On behalf of our students and staff, we would like to thank Senator Lesniak for his visit and great speech!

  • Mayor J. Christian Bollwage Visits AP Government & Politics Students

    Class of 2017 AP Government and Politics students of Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy enjoyed a visit on February 22 from City of Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage, who gave an interesting and informative presentation. Students interacted with the mayor as he inspired them to prepare for their lives, ask for advice, and make choices without being afraid to make a mistake. Various topics discussed by Mayor Bollwage had a significant impact on the students, including college, skills, immigration, security, and the President of the United States. The students left the visit by Mayor Bollwage motivated to reach their full potential and be successful in their future endeavors.

  • Government / Politics AP Guest Speakers Initiative

    On Monday February 13th, the Vice Chairman of the Union County Freeholders, Sergio Granados, visited Alexander Hamilton Preparatory Academy to speak with our AP Unites States Government and Politics. The students were very interested and impressed by Mr. Granados’ presentation. The students learned more about how local government operates and about the position that Mr. Granados holds. The students asked various questions that Mr. Granados was more than happy to answer. In the end Mr. Granados invited students to participate in many community service opportunities that the city and county provides. One of our students, Angie Benitez stated that Mr. Granados was very inspiring, and recalls how he told students to stand up for their beliefs.
