What is SchoolMessenger? SchoolMessenger is a communication tool used by schools to send important messages such as school closures, emergency alerts, attendance notices, and general announcements. Messages are delivered via voice calls, emails, and SMS text messages.
Accessing SchoolMessenger
Logging in to SchoolMessenger allows you to view all communications sent to you and customize how you receive notifications via voice calls, email, or text messages. You can log in through either the SchoolMessenger website or the mobile app.
Website: go.schoolmessenger.com
Mobile App: Download the SchoolMessenger app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
On the SchoolMessenger app welcome page you can:
- Click the menu icon to access more options.
- Click either Log in or Sign up to access the SchoolMessenger app.
- Download the mobile app from either Apple’s App Store or Android’s Google Play page.
- Click the link for a quick informational video.

Creating an Account and Logging in
If you're logging in for the first time, you will need to create an account.
- Click on Sign Up and enter your email, not your child's email, that your child’s school has on file.
- Choose a password for your account and click on Sign Up.
- You will receive a verification code via email. Enter this code in the app or on the website to verify your account.
- Once verified, log in using your account email and password.

Using the App
Viewing Messages: Click the Messages tab to view all communications sent to you. You can read any message by clicking on it. If it's a voice message, you can listen to it directly within the app.
You can also filter your Messages using the filter button. If you can’t see any messages, you either have not received any or a filter is enabled.
Managing Notifications Preferences: Click the Preferences tab to choose how you want to customize how you receive notifications via voice calls, email, or text messages.
For example, if you prefer to get voice calls for emergencies but not for general announcements, you can set that up in the preferences. If you have multiple phone numbers or emails associated to your account, you can manage them as well.
