On behalf of the Elizabeth Public Schools community, we thank Board President Jerry Jacobs for his service as president of the Elizabeth Board of Education during 2021 which saw the district return to in-person learning for the first time since the start of the pandemic, purchase 4,000 air purifiers for schools and offices to create the safest and healthiest environment possible for in-person learning, prepare and distribute millions of meals through its Grab-and-Go meal program, provide COVID-19 vaccinations to district students and team members, participate in the Amistad Collaborative, and officially incorporate Juneteenth as an observed holiday on the district calendar among many significant achievements.
