Elizabeth Public Schools celebrated the J. Christian Bollwage Finance Academy graduating Class of 2025 commencement and class awards ceremony at the Thomas G. Dunn Sports Center on June 25. Among the speakers at the ceremony were New Jersey Senator Joseph P. Cryan, Elizabeth City Council President Carlos Cedeño, Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley J. Neron, EPS Superintendent Dr. Olga Hugelmeyer, EPS Assistant Superintendent Judy Finch Johnson, Bollwage Finance Academy Principal John J. Byrne, Bollwage Finance Academy alumnus Tyler Nichols, Bollwage Finance Academy Guidance Counselor Safiyyah Howell, Bollwage Finance Academy Guidance Counselor Jill Aller, Bollwage Finance Academy class valedictorian Hailey Sophia Amezquita, Bollwage Finance Academy class salutatorian Nixon A. Amaya Calles, and Bollwage Finance Academy Student Representative to the EBOE Jasiyah Yvonne Holley.
