Over the past few months, the students & staff of Terence C. Reilly School No. 7 have been busy making a difference in the world. In September in honor of Alzheimer’s Awareness month, School No. 7 painted the “town” purple by wearing purple accessories & also raised more than $1000.00 which was donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. In October, the Terence C. Reilly community honored those fighting & beating Breast Cancer with a 5k walk. November found Terence C. Reilly collecting personal items for the “Home of The Brave”, a local residential facility that plays home to displaced Veteran’s with special needs. Together with an organization called One Kind Step, the Terence C. Reilly family collected & wrapped 100 toys to be given out to underprivileged kids of Newark, NJ & Flint, Michigan.
As the famous quote says, “In a world where you can be anything, choose to be kind.”
