Through a Union County Kids Dig In!: School Garden Grant Program sponsored through Union County Board of County Commissioners, Mabel G. Holmes School No. 5 implemented a Garden Club with staff and students. This project will help spread awareness and promote interest in horticulture through an interactive and educational approach. 3rd – 8th graders will work on rebuilding and help the garden beds flourish, located on the school grounds.
