Third annual Playground Project was a success at Toussaint L’Ouverture-Marquis De Lafayette
The third annual Playground Project was a success at Toussaint L’Ouverture-Marquis De Lafayette this past Saturday, May 18, 2019. This undertaking is our effort to promote creativity and unstructured play time for students. By letting kids be kids, they develop skills like problem solving, creativity, and self-reliance. Through this project, we are also giving students the chance to experiment on their own and develop confidence. School No. 6 is grateful to our partners, the EEA, who makes this possible with their grant, the Elizabeth Fire Department, Stop & Shop, our PTO, and the Elizabeth Board of Education. A special thanks to Mr. D’Alessandro for his tireless effort, the Jefferson High School students, the volunteers and our teachers. Without them, the parents, none of it would have been possible.
