Law Enforcement Against Drugs (L.E.A.D.) Graduation
Approximately 2,000 students from throughout Elizabeth Public Schools attended morning and afternoon Law Enforcement Against Drugs (L.E.A.D.) Class of 2017 graduation ceremonies at the Dunn Sports Center. Among the speakers at the graduation ceremonies were L.E.A.D. officers Jennifer Perez and Ina Silva of the Elizabeth Police Department, Elizabeth Board of Education President Stanley Neron, City of Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage, and Elizabeth Public Schools Superintendent Olga Hugelmeyer as well as special guest speaker Essynce Moore, a 14-year-old motivational speaker and founder of fashion line Essynce Couture who encouraged students to dream big and strive for their goals. L.E.A.D. officers Perez and Silva announced the winners of the L.E.A.D. essay contest and had all of the students stand to recite the L.E.A.D. pledge to end each of the ceremonies.
