  • Board of Education Meeting November 18, 2019

    At the November 18 Elizabeth Board of Education meeting at Terence C. Reilly School No. 7, the meeting opened with School No. 7 fourth grade student Jaden Zarate leading the Pledge of Allegiance, a School No. 7 string quartet featuring eight grade students Daphne Manuel, Andy Coca, Pablo Criollo and Miguel Margaca performing the Star-Spangled Banner, School No. 7 eighth grade student David Osegueda leading the Pledge of Ethics, and School No. 7 fifth grade student Isabella Rossi leading the School No. 7 No Bully Pledge.

  • EHS Marching Band Capped off a Fantastic Season this past Saturday

    The band won the New Jersey Regional Championships with a score of 95.85, beating groups such as Passaic, Edison, J.P. Stevens, Westfield, and Roxbury. The band also won awards for Best Music and Best Visual Performance. The photo attached is the culmination of all the awards we have won competitively this past season.

    The Elizabeth High School Marching Band participated in the New Jersey State Championships at Hillsborough High School on Wednesday, October 30th. The band had a fantastic performance, even in the inclement weather!

    At the October 13 Elizabeth Board of Education meeting at John E. Dwyer Technology Academy, the meeting opened with Dwyer Technology Academy senior Elisa Fernandez leading the Pledge of Allegiance, Dwyer Technology Academy junior Lezzly Ruiz Mendez and senior Prithivi Koirala performing the Star-Spangled Banner, Dwyer Technology Academy senior Kimberly Silva leading the Pledge of Ethics. The opening also included “Tamarindo Seco,” a Cumbia Dance performed by Mrs. Raposo’s Multicultural Club of Dwyer Technology Academy and an AVID presentation by Dwyer Technology Academy Principal Sulisnet Jimenez.
