J. Christian Bollwage Finance Academy 2026 Commencement/Class Awards Ceremony

Elizabeth Public Schools celebrated the J. Christian Bollwage Finance Academy graduating Class of 2026 commencement and class awards ceremony at the Thomas G. Dunn Sports Center on June 25. Among the speakers at the ceremony were Elizabeth Mayor J. Christian Bollwage, Elizabeth Board of Education President Maria Z. Carvalho, Elizabeth Board of Education Member Jerry D. Jacobs, EPS Superintendent Dr. Olga Hugelmeyer, EPS Assistant Superintendent Judy Finch Johnson, Bollwage Finance Academy Principal John J. Byrne, Bollwage Finance Academy alumnus Brandon Fernandez, Bollwage Finance Academy School Counselors Safiyyah Howell and Jill Aller, Bollwage Finance Academy Senior Class Advisor Ashley Tirado, Bollwage Finance Academy class valedictorian Emely Valerie Serrano, Bollwage Finance Academy class salutatorian Genesis Melendez, and Bollwage Finance Academy Student Representative to the EBOE Edward Steven Cax Merida.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Bollwage Finance Academy senior Gabriel O. Galvao and the Pledge of Ethics was led by Bollwage Finance Academy senior Diana S. Babatunde.
