Students Who Shall Be Transported

In accordance with New Jersey Administrative Code 6A:27-1.2, transportation services shall be extended to public school students residing a considerable distance from their designated school of attendance, as well as to special education students whose residential distance from their assigned school necessitates transportation, or as outlined in their Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Mileage Criteria for Transportation Eligibility:

Pre-k- 2.00 miles Walking distance from home to school

K-8- 2.00 miles Walking distance from home to school

High school- 2.50 miles Walking distance from home to school

Mileage calculations are determined using the Traversa system from Tyler Technologies, which utilizes county maps to measure walking distances from home to school.

Bus stops are strategically placed within generalized areas for student convenience.

Changes to bus stops will not be made solely for convenience purposes. We cannot accommodate special arrangements for student pickups as it disrupts established bus schedules and increases route times with each alteration or addition.
