Mild Intellectual Disability (CMI) Program
The Intellectual Disability-Mild Program supports students with mild intellectual disabilities who need a structured environment and modified academic instruction. The focus is on building basic academic and social skills through hands-on activities, repetition, and reinforcement across all learning experiences. Instruction emphasizes practical learning using concrete materials and includes language development, motor skills, and daily living skills. Students also work on vocational and independent living skills to prepare for life beyond school. Instruction is adapted to meet individual needs, helping students gain confidence and independence in both academic and functional areas.
